What is Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)?
CSA is a type of membership that enables community members to personally know the farmers and farms that produce their food. It is a direct purchasing relationship between the local farmer and community members. It is known as a "subscription" for fresh vegetables. Community members agree to purchase a season's worth of produce or “share” before the harvest season begins. In turn, members receive a weekly box of the ultra-fresh harvest during the local growing season (June - October). This agreement benefits the farmer by guaranteeing them a market for their produce and providing capital at a time when it is most needed. Members benefit by knowing the farmers who grown their food, by supporting local agriculture, and by receiving the highest quality produce at an affordable price.
We invite you to try out a CSA membership with our farm. We look forward to sharing fresh produce and new ways of enjoying healthy, nutritious foods with you.
