Kids enjoy eating what they pick!
Zilke Vegetable Farm CSA members are interested in MORE than vegetables: they like to know they are working with a professional grower who shares their environmental and social concerns. Families with children are welcome at our CSA gardens. We have hosted local school groups for farm tours in the garden. Zilke Vegetable Farm is about strengthening a sense of community. We have a newsletter to let people know what's going on in our garden, share recipes, and announce social events at Zilke Vegetable Farm.

Straight from the farm to your table
Healthy soil means healthy food. No herbicides or pesticides are used. Artificial fertilizers, ground water pollution and toxic residues on food are avoided. Eating locally grown, freshly harvested food is the basis of a healthy diet. People who join our CSA find a meaningful sense of community and rediscover a healthy life style which they have been missing.
What are The Advantages in Joining Zilke Vegetable Farm CSA?

ü Receive ultra-fresh food from Mid-May to Mid-October (22 weeks).
ü Enjoy all natural food: Exceptionally clean farm, NO pesticides or chemicals, naturally grown.
ü Develop a direct relationship with the farmers growing your food and learn about how your food is grown. Our Farm is your farm.
ü Invitations to on farm special events (Hay rides, Picnics, and more)
ü Encounter new vegetables and new ways of cooking.
ü You’ll find your kids typically favor food from “their” farm, even veggies they’ve never been known to eat.
ü Your CSA box is filled with a variety of food that has been grown locally and harvested within days of your pick-up — not picked weeks in advance and ripened during shipment up to 1300 miles to your local food mart.

What are we growing for you this year?
We divide the harvest season into 3 sections: Spring (May/June), Summer (July/August), and Fall (Sept/October). This list will give you a general idea of what we are growing and what you will get in your box.
